A Newlie Smoothie

“A Neeeewlie Smoooothie!”…it works…right?! Eh?

Ya know what else works? Today. It’s so beautiful outside. Makes you wonder what day it is…doesn’t it…

Heheheee! I had to do it. Not even sorry. I laugh hysterically EVERY time I see that! High fives to GEICO on making one of the funniest commercials of all time.

Anyway…in honor of this beautiful little Wednesday in August I desperately want to share my little new smoothie recipe that I’ve fallen in love with. It’s healthy, natural, and sensational:

Ingredients? So glad you asked!

  • 3 1/4 cups of chopped Ice
  • 3 cups of chopped & hulled, fresh Strawberries
  • 1 peeled banana
  • Juice from 1 whole Lemon
  • 1/2 cup of Blueberries
  • 1/4 cup of Honey
  • a perfect little smoothie-worthy Mason jar (shout out to Allison & Tony Giampapa for gifting the one I used today!)

It’s just. That. Simple.

Steps? Psshh…you literally just add them to a blender and there you have it. But just for giggles, here are the steps:

Step 1

Hull and chop up all of your strawberries. What up, Trader Joes!?!! Big fan of buying their delicious strawberries in bulk this summer.

Step 2

Peel and slice up 1 banana.

Step 3

Add the juice from one whole lemon to the ice chunks.

Step 4

Add in EVERYTHING to the blender, starting with the lemon-ie ice chunks, then the strawberries, then the honey, then the blueberries, then the bananas.

Step 5

BLEND!

Step 6

POUR!

Step 7

Sip. Hmmmm…delish.

Step 8

Sip a few more.

Step 9

Refill your glass.

Step 10

Comment and tell me how ya liked it!

Big hugs! Happy hump day.
